Being a gamer now for so many years I have come to lose interest in most sports games. Each year they add a few polys and new rosters. Nothing major as far as gameplay to be honest. Now with the current slew of technology and developers learning new tricks you would figure that sports games would have advanced a little...well.

Visually this game is not bad for a sports title. It is no Madden, but it can hold it's own. The character's have lots of detail and the courts are amazing. My problem with this game is that their noses look like Michael Jackson's. Imagine Scottie Pippen with MJ's nose YIKES! The frame rate is good and there are some good reflections here.
The commentary...hmmm to be honest it wasn't something I noticed a whole lot. Kind of lacking, the music is actually pretty good, and the crowd noise is excellent. Nothing much else here. Pretty standard stuff all around.

This game plays ten times better than Live 2K1. The interface is more familiar and it is easy to pick up and play. It took me maybe one quarter to learn all of the buttons. The only problem is that it is kind of sluggish, this isn't horrible it just makes the game a little slow.

In my opinion this is the best B-Ball game on PS2 so far. It doesn't have much competition with Live and Shootout. I recommend a rent at best, but if you must have a b-ball game for the PS2 this is the one to get.
